Mandy and Nicky were absolute stars throughout my pregnancy offering support and understanding before I was even an official client! From the moment I contacted them, I experienced a level of care that I would never have received from the NHS.

With Mandy as my lead midwife, a relationship was built that made me feel happy and confident through my pregnancy, any worries or questions I had, I could always call or text Mandy and get a pretty instant reply (I stopped short at texting her at 4am when I couldn’t sleep though!!)

This personal and dedicated support enabled me to have the home birth I desired, that would have been impossible using the NHS, I am pretty sure that no NHS midwife would have the time or resources to get to me in my very rural location, including Mandy’s heroic trip down my unmade track through the raging torrent of a ford (almost killing her car!) when my boy decided to arrive early on a stormy January morning. Plus the subsequent visits to ensure we were all doing ok through the worst snow Cornwall has seen in years!

The following very challenging weeks of new motherhood were made easier and less fraught with the continued support offered by Mandy, we all looked forward to her regular visits, not only as a professional midwife but as a friend as well.

Every pregnancy is different, every woman has different needs, Mandy and Nicky have the time and ability to adapt to each individual person, they listen to your needs, learn to understand your worries and help you deal with them and are generally fab! I can’t recommend them enough, whether it is your first or ninth pregnancy the service they provide is invaluable, there is no question that I will be booking them for my next pregnancy!
